Na aktualni turneji predstavljajo odličen album The Hard Way (2023), na katerem se posvečajo modernemu jazzu s koketiranjem z eksperimentalno in avantgardno glasbo ter elektroniko.

Among the bands that we hosted in Cerkno as the first in Slovenia, the band Sexmob, which played at Jazz Cerkno in 2001, holds a special place. After this performance, which was followed by other concerts in Ljubljana and Maribor – and also again in Cerkno, at Keltika 2010 – they became the darlings of (not only) the jazz audience. The band won over listeners with their quirky and entertaining reworkings of songs from the treasury of pop, rock and film music, which the musicians tackled with inventiveness and approaches known from the avant-garde, without forgetting the appeal of the primary themes. The first album Din Of Inequity (1998) already contained a few such songs. Such often humorous reinterpretations of the history of pop and rock (from Abba to the Rolling Stones) were characteristic of the initial period of their work. On their current tour, they are presenting their excellent album The Hard Way (2023), which focuses on modern jazz by flirting with experimental and avant-garde music and electronics. The fresh Slovenian-Italian quartet Mondo Tondo was formed this spring for a concert as part of the FOCUS project. The music of the quartet of experienced musicians, who have already played in similar bands, is based on improvisation with an emphasis on a thoughtful balance between acoustic and electric instruments.
