Cerkno receives additional funding for promotion for the sixth consecutive year
This year, the Cerkno Tourist Board successfully applied for the “Public Tender for Co-financing Promotion and Digitalization Activities of Leading Tourist Destinations in Slovenia in 2025” for the sixth consecutive year, securing non-refundable financial resources amounting to 24,570 EUR.
The Slovenian Tourist Organization dedicated the tender to strengthening the promotion and sustainable development of tourist offerings, with an emphasis on digitalization, green transformation, and the connection of leading destinations.
The Cerkno Tourist Board has already begun implementing project activities. Modern video and visual materials are being prepared, which will present outdoor experiences, cultural attractions, and green activities in nature through digital channels. Special attention will be given to promotion through a digital campaign in the domestic market, as well as in Italy and Germany, where the destination targets active couples, families, and culture enthusiasts seeking boutique experiences with higher added value. In addition to other content, this year the destination will particularly highlight summer events as part of the Summer in Cerkno 2025 program and numerous events taking place within the 30th anniversary of the discovery of the Neanderthal flute. Cerkno will also connect thematically and promotionally with other tourist destinations, which will undoubtedly contribute to strengthening the recognition and attractiveness of the region.
Through the activities carried out within the project, Cerkno will strengthen its involvement in Slovenia’s sustainable, modern, and internationally recognized tourism story. The focus on quality promotion and cooperation with other destinations brings long-term effects for the development of local offerings and for greater recognition of the area, which offers visitors active and authentic experiences throughout the year.
